ListGuard cleans an email list in one pass. Upload one or more CSV files, tick what you want removed, and download a clean list plus a plain report of everything that was removed and why. There is nothing to install and no setup: create a free account and run your first list today.
What gets removed or checked
Empty rows and malformed lines. Lines without a usable address are dropped before anything else runs.
Typos in common domains. gmai.com and hotmial.com style typos are auto-repaired where the correct domain is unambiguous.
Duplicate addresses. Same address appearing twice (or in multiple uploaded files) is kept once.
Disposable addresses. Throwaway providers from a maintained domain list are removed.
Role addresses. info@, support@, admin@ and similar shared inboxes can be removed on request.
Dead domains. Domains with no working mail records cannot receive your campaign and are removed.
Blacklist matches. Addresses on your custom blacklist are removed.
Suppression matches. Anyone on your saved suppression list (unsubscribed) is removed.
The workflow
1. Upload your list(s). One or more CSV files at once. ListGuard finds the email column for you.
2. Tick what you want cleaned. From duplicates to dead domains — you choose every step in plain language.
3. Download the clean list and report. The report shows exactly what was removed and why, so you can trust the result.
What a clean list does and does not mean
Cleaning checks syntax, domains and your own lists. It does not confirm that a specific mailbox exists — for that, optional mailbox verification with ZeroBounce or Hunter.io is available on paid runs.

A clean result means the address passed every check you selected; no check can guarantee a future send will not bounce.
How your list is handled
Core cleaning runs on European infrastructure by default. Your uploaded file is deleted as soon as your clean list and report are ready, and the addresses themselves are not written to the database — only the counts. The documented exceptions, such as suppression lists you explicitly save, are described on the security page.
